Oil filter different

Just changed oil and filter on my felicia and noticed this diffrence between oil filters.

Just wondering because the desgin, if one type is better than the other.

Right, Thanks, New filter is Crossland, and the old one I seem to remember was Commline. I think Crossland have a bit of a better brand name Aswell. Not that I found any problems with the old filter.

I did think about cutting the old one open, but just because I was curious about what was inside. Then I decided it would be too messy anyway.

Done several where I've had to bang a screw driver through to use as a handle to turn them... really was worth £5 to buy the proper tool I tell thee... makes a right mess!

 

Oh and its just some wire mesh type stuff :)

not always    a pre intercooled turbo Terrano filter   is 2 in one (full flow and bypass)  in one casing     a real work of art

FWIW, I don't like the strap type, and use the large " hexagonal socket" type with a head that you can put a small socket wrench onto - and sometimes that can even help to get the new filter into position in awkward places.
