The Wheel Specialist

Featured Replies

On the eastern edge of the Dordogne, its at a place called Rocamadour.  Its a beautiful area and we revisited there this year on our way back from the Tarn Gorges area, near Millau.

Thought it was there, we used to stay in Sarlat  :sun:

  • My cousin visited the east grin stead branch and he seemed quite impressed with the quality of the wheels. The centre caps not so much. I used a local company and paid £200

  • I've just had my Neptune's done by The Wheel Specialists in Burton on Trent. The cost for all five was £400 and I am very pleased with them. I dropped the car off at 08:00 and the car was ready to

Seems a long way off what some people have been paying.  Is it the norm that they'll contact me again at some point with a revised quote?

They will give some discount if you speak direct Andrew

Alan and I have had some discount applied

They like you recommending them..so that will get some discount

19" are more due to them working on so much per inch

Had my quote of £270 confirmed but they said it would have to be a cash payment. Should I be wary? Will they pull a fast one and not give a guarantee?

Just seen where you are based.

I'm in York and travel to Sunderland to use SEM Alloys...

http://semalloys.co.uk/

A proper old school outfit, no franchising, no fancy vans, expensive advertising, free coffee, WiFi etc, just a couple of blokes in overalls in an industrial unit repairing and fixing alloys.

I've had two sets of alloys fully refurbed by them now (17") for £246 inc. VAT.

Absolutely great quality, one set has been on two years now and still look as good as the day they were done, a very good reputation locally too.

I asked for silver, bright silver, as bright as you can get...

New centre caps ordered, and wheels booked in on Sat.  99% set on black chrome :)

How long do I need to wait before I can apply sealant to them, and do I need to limit travelling for a few days whilst the paint hardens?

Had mine done when I bought the car from the Cwmbran branch, have to be honest i was chuffed with the result, they looked brand new. They did give me a sheet of recommendations

Hope that helps

Hi all.

Just got back from TWS.  Wheels look fab!  Couple of bits of grit in the paintwork that you can see if you look for them, otherwise they're immaculate!

This forum won't allow me to hotlink images directly from GooglePhotos, so here's a link the the album containing the before and after photos :)
