I had a strut brace on my fab for over a year, always thought it stiffened the front end up a bit when I first put it on, definately felt more rigid anyways. Took it off just after Christmas and sold it, haven't noticed any difference at all, if anything it doesn't understeer as much as it did with the strut brace on when pushing it hard ! It definately makes the engine bay look better as mine looks really bare now, so in my personal opinion, no they don't do anything at all for handling for people who wonder.

I'll definately buy one again just to make the bay look better thow haha

Making the heavy front end a little heavier.

If you notice a difference it's the placebo effect.

Is it the same story with the rear strut brace? 

mine came with one and i took it out straight away - was only in about a week so i couldnt really comment..
