Cap/Glasses Valuation if Poss

Featured Replies

The parkers guides are a tad rubbish for this, does any member have a genuine trade book. I am finding it difficult to value it as the mileage is low and most on fleabay are a lot higher or a lower spec.

Fabia 1.9TDI Elegance, 2006 (06), 61,000 miles, FSH, cambelt/waterpump done, upgraded Skoda alloys from new (16 inch), heated seats  etc in Cappachino beige, as mint as you will find one, owned from virtually new, only washed with a lambswool mitt !, never been in an accident, new tyres all round a few months ago, oh and everything works fine. I had it remapped a year or so ago to get rid of that awful lag from set off in 1st gear, it now runs at 130bhp and is just as good (if not better) on fuel.

Best place to check out others with similar specifications e.g. Mileage, Age, etc. is probably Autotrader. Minus the 'traders premium'.

Advert?

Nope, its already sold (ish) my brother wants it but i don't know what to ask for it, i have looked on fleabay with no luck, i have just looked again on autotrader and there is one which virtually mirrors mine but no mention of the cambelt/pullys/waterpump being done..... £3800.....so with it being a trader do you think £3k is fair as a private sale ..... to a most beloved family member !!!

Webuyanycar.com is based on the real values cars go through auctions at. It's almost a live pricing website. As the price at the auctions goes up and down, so does the value they offer for your car.

The books are published almost 10 days afterwards. Use the value from webuyanycar and it's an honest price, despite that website's reputation.

This is exactly what I do to find out the trade prices, it's simple and easy, takes less than 5 minutes to get a valuation :)

Try Trustedcarbuyers.com - another cash buyer - as well.

Thanks for that, good idea. I will use them but given its conditions and very low miles he will not be getting it for trade !!! It will be somewhere in between that and retail, i could get trade value anywhere.
