just picked up a 1.6 ambiente today out of desperation since my timing belt napped on my other car.

 

problems so far, front windows wont go down, i hear clicking which would make it seem the motors work but the glass doesnt move.

central locking, dunno what going on with this, fob is dead, might be batteries, if i unlock with key in door the car immediately locks itself again. i can unlock if using the boot lock which doesnt seem a normal thing to do but shall try replacing the batteries to see if that helps.

 

could these problems be related? is it a common thing?

 

been years since i had a mk1 octy, i never had these problems then although i never had electric windows in my last one either.
