car loks by itself, drive me nuts!

Featured Replies

Hello friends!

I run out of ideas,my car locks by itself whenever it wants.I had problems and trouble codes with 2 door locks and I replaced them with new ones,I was convinced that will solve the problem but no.No code on VCDS,nothing

I disabled the aftermarket alarm,nothing....the car will still lock by itself 2 minutes after I shut the engine off,or 30min or 2 hours.Only with engine off ,never with engine on.

Anyone any idea?

Did you have the auto lock after 30 seconds feature enabled before? Maybe vcds needs some kind of reset, maybe turning that feature off and on again? As I think it is one that can be enabled/disabled. It is a bit odd. I have that feature enabled but I'm sure my car decides whether it can be bothered to do it or not. As such I'm also interested in what you discover. My anti hijack and all other locking works fine, just the auto lock is a bit random.
