Important scientific study

I find that when SWMBO is quiet I get an extra 2 mpg and predict if she could remain quiet for the whole journey I would get to my destination 3% quicker....

More to the point, how is this in General Car?? It's not even fit for Off Topic, more like Off The Planet.

By the way, I think you need to redo your test a bit further away from any large close planets, as they are clearly affecting the weight of your Pringles. I also presume that you are using virgin Pringles, and not the ones containing "heavy" salt isotopes?

As a scientist I can suggest changing the salt in the Pringles to Hydrogen Chloride it is less dense than Sodium Chloride.

Will make the crisps a tad more piquant......

Removing the engine will also shed about 200Kg from the car and so make it much faster.

I was thinking of Na(25)Cl. You'd know it if you ate pringles coated with that kind of fairy dust - disappearing into your own black hole would seem like a pleasure cruise.

There are definitely some control issues with this experiment.

1. Can you confirm whether the tubes of Pringles are sealed or open? - There is surely less air density in a low vacuum sealed container therefore weighing less.

If the tubes of Pringles are sealed, are the Pringles really there?

If a Ned crashes his Saxo in a field and night and there is no one there to see or hear it did he really crash his car?

and by that same philosophy is there any need to declare it to the insurance?

2. Are the Pringles contained within all whole? Everyone knows that broken snacks have a greater surface area and therefore weigh more.

3. Where is the 'control' element of the same experiment carried out with alternative brands of stackable potato based snacks? ALDI Stackers for example. Moreover, have different flavours and the bearing this may have on the initial weight of the product been taken into consideration??

1. The pringles are sealed both in the containers and in the triple pack.

2. They rattle when shaken so one can only assume that some are broken. Or they are now.

3. Access to alternative brands of stackable potato based snacks was strictly prohibited due mainly to the fact that I didn't and still do not have any.

Now that is a real question.

If a Ned crashes his Saxo in a field and night and there is no one there to see or hear it did he really crash his car?

If he "crashed" his car, yet he didn't because no one heard it, then he has no need of insurance, as there is no claim to be made.

If a man makes a mistake, and his wife doesn't find out, is he still wrong.

Getting caught is the biggest crime around and don't you know it.

No, I don't.....;)

No, I don't..... ;)

Oh but you do.

Oh but you do.

Not yet I haven't. Unless you have a time machine.....

What's this "if" word? :D

What's this "insurance" word? :D

I leave my seats in place for structural rigidity allowing me to corner faster than a Bugatti Veyron, but unfortunately this hugely slows the car down :(. Perhaps if you had two seat backs, one folded and one upright you could then both accelerate and corner like a Bugatti Veyron?

You need to fit the seats from a Lockheed Lightning.

If you put the front passenger seat in backwards and fold it down not only will it be lighter it will be more aerodynamic too.

I'd like to see passengers travel in this car :D

Hmm I'm going to connect my exhaust pipe to my air intake, the exhaust gasses will then power the engine in a virtuous loop and I will need no fuel.
