Skoda Vrs Mk1 Missfire idle conking out problem

Featured Replies

Hi just wondering has anybody any info, I have a Skoda Octavia Vrs Estate, the last few days when starting in the mornings its running like a bag of nails, today been worst of all, when starting it in the morning it sounds like its misfiring and trying to choke itself, i went to give it a wee rev and no throttle response nothing at all then it conked out, started up again ok, when at low revs car is hunting dropping Revs, today when crossing a busy juntion just after pulling out i had no throtle response for a second kinda sht myself then it went, at more than 2000rpm the car seams fine, loads of pull throughout the gears, the orange engine light came on the second time it conked out at low speeds coming up to a roundabout, i am looking to sell the car in a few months but would like to get it sorted before then, The car has about 120klm,

Any Idea`s was half thinking Coil Packs,

Could be, check your fault codes

Check out the Diagnostic and VCDS section of this forum and find someone near you with VCDS.

If you've got a android based piece of tech I downloaded obd car doctor from Google play and bought a bluetooth obdll adapter from eBay number 201275362125 it worked really well and led me to the right fault code.
