time has come to sell my pampered baby of 11 years.

2003 52 plate in Carrida red.

I'm the only the second owner, the first being Bentley Motor cars as it was a sales executives car.

Bought in June 2004 when 18 months old and with just 9000 miles on the clock.

This car has wanted for nothing throughout it's life and as such has a massive A4 folder full of history, virtually every penny that's been spent on her has been documented.

Service history is all recorded and stamped in the service schedule book with main dealer and specialist up to 96000 miles, from then on it's either been myself (trained mechanic) or specialist.

Receipts for all the work is in the service history folder and in date order.

The cambelt and water pump (metal impeller) were changed in February last year @125000 miles, the oil pick up pipe and an oil and filter change were done at the same time by AP Automotive.

She's had an oil and filter change every 5000 miles.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A few modifications have been carried out, but nothing to outrageous as I'm in my 50's and not to keen on showing off, I just need to grow up a bit!

Full stage 2 conversion using all Forge motorsport equipment

Forge FMIC

Forge 007 recirculating dump valve

Forge dump valve relocation kit (cold side next to the throttle body)

Forge oversize TIP

Jetex 200 cell stainless steel sports Cat and down pipe

Jetex non-resonated stainless steel exhaust system

K&N panel filter in a de-finned standard air box, with a 3" cold air feed from the front bumper.

Revo stage two software loaded by Midlands VW in Feb last year resulting in 226.9bhp and 265lbft of torque.

Drives as docile as a standard car with no flat spots, hesitation or the like. But goes like a bat out of hell when you want an extra bit of punch.

Still returns high 20's/low 30's around town and I regularly see 40mpg on a run down a motorway (tank fill to tank fill, not using the on board computer).

Always warmed up before being enthusiastically driven, and always allowed to cool/idle for a while after a run before turning off.

Suspension wise, she's sitting on Koni FSD's and H&R progressive springs all round.

She's been poly-bushed throughout including the rear beam.

Brake wise I've never had a problem with the standard set-up so that's how it's been left, but use quality discs and pads.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The interior is in fantastic condition and is pretty much as it left the factory, apart from the addition of a boost gauge in the cubby hole below the stereo.

The Stereo has been upgraded all round with a pioneer 50 watt x 4 head unit, all the speakers have been upgraded to pioneer front components and MB Quartz component rears, there is also a separate amp and sub woofer in the boot.

The leather has no rips or tears and is in excellent condition as I clean and feed the leather every six months, the drivers seat had the lower squab replaced a couple of years ago, so there's no fear of the frame wearing through the bolster.

The exterior is in extremely good condition for it's year and mileage, as to be expected it has the usual stone chips across the bonnet and leading edges.

Again the car has been pampered when cleaning, pressure wash, snow foam, two bucket wash, towel dry, and if needed a quality wax and sealant applied.

Very few scratches and only 1 maybe 2 minor dents (my Father-in-law open his car door and put a dent about the size of a 5p in the o/s/r door  )

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

MOT'd until January 6th 2016

Obviously tax is not applicable now.

133000 miles with a massive FSH

Full Thatcham Cat-1 total closure alarm system (with certificate)

2 keys

All the factory owners handbooks as supplied from new

I even have the bar-code fob for the key-immobilizer-dash security codes

Excellent condition throughout with a few choice modifications

Never used a drop of oil or water in all the time I have owned her, and has never let me down, I will be truly sad to see her go.

New four year warranty battery and starter motor fitted in the last month as I didn't think I was going to sell her.

The only reason I'm selling is because I have a back injury that is never going to get any better, so I'm buying something that's a little bit better on the bumps, and with heated seats.

I'm pricing her at  £2250, as I think that's a fair price considering the mods she's got on top of the realistic price of a standard car.

Please bear in mind this is far and away from some of the rubbish you can get on e-bay and Gumtree, this is a fastidiously maintained and looked after car.

What a cracking example of the Mk1 and with all the mods I'd do as well.  Shame I don't need a car otherwise I'd have this in a heartbeat.

I don't think you'll have this for long.

She'll be a fantastic buy for someone.

My wife calls her and my rally car my mistresses because of the amount of time and care I lavish on them!

She's advertised on here because I hope she'll go to a fellow Brisky who'll continue looking after her, however if I get no takers by the weekend after next she'll have to go on Flea-bay/Gumtree

I can't pm you because you haven't posted enough times to get the pm privileges yet.

If you can contact me somehow let me have your Mob No and I'll ring you tomorrow.

Now sold to a fellow Forum user (Adwords).

Sad day for me really as she's been such a fantastic car for me and the whole family for the past 11 years  :'(
