Back door unlocking problems!

Featured Replies

Hello sometimes my back drivers door wont unlock but the other ones are fine, it only unlocks if you pull the handle on the inside and open from outside its really annoying but sometimes theres no problem? Maybe because its really cold? Thanks.

You need a new locking mechanism, mine does the same, get it sorted asap before it deadlocks and you have to smash bits apart.

also a convinent time to re-seal at least one door.

As above get it changed before it deadlocks its self, im in the process of getting one of mine done, its deadlocked and its a real ball ache to sort it out, lock has to be smashed out.

fancy doing a guide?? my replacement was delivered this week, so now I have to replace while I can still open it!

There are guides on here somewhere , I got down to removing the door card and ancillary carrier,  you need to remove your back seat to do this, I got a bit stuck when it came to removing the window, a friend in all his wisdom drilled the rivets out around the door handle and the carrier which is not what you do, mine is in a local garage at the moment as hes an ex audi mechanic with a lot of experience in doing this, you need to wind the window down to were there is an inspection hole, remove the plastic form that and look through you should see a dowel in the hole which needs pushing out so the window comes out, as I said its a ball ache, a lot of patience is required
