Octavia lamps replaced and warning light still on

Featured Replies

Have found this forum very helpful in the past, hopefully someone can guide me with my small problem.

Dashboard lamp warning came on - one of my headlamps had failed.

Went online to Autobulbsdirect and purchased their recommended H7 OSRAM Night Breaker Unlimited +110% 12V 55W 477 Headlight Halogen Bulbs (Pair)

Installed (both sides so they are the same), and work, but the warning lamp is still on...any ideas would be appreciated as to why the warning may still be on, thanks.

Do you have Maxidot, this will tell you exactly which bulb has failed.

Could it be that you have another defective bulb on the car somewhere?

Hi, no, not maxidot, and as far as I can see no other bulbs gone. Was suspicious that it might be non-standard or not ex-factory bulbs...

Check all the bulbs carefully. I'd a rear number plate bulb fail and it was not easy to spot. There are a few tail lights to check- not just one per side.

I've found the bulb warning light 100% reliable so far.
