Service schedule

Featured Replies

Anyone aware of a Skoda info source re what required at each service/mileage?.

129K service due on 58 2.0Tdi PD and conflicting info from independents on what required at what intervals (diesel fuel filter, pollen, air, brake fluid).

Thanks for any help !

What service regime is your car ? Variable or time and distance. Pollen filter is due every 2 year's. Brake fluid is every 2 year's. Air filter and fuel filter is every 60000 miles.

Hey, thanks Flapperjack & Silver.

Car on Annual schedule last 3 services.

Fuel filter & brake fluid replaced 40K ago

Air filter 20K ago

Current mileage 129K

I assume you've had a cambelt at some point along the way?

Yep, all ok in that regard

The intervals for the air, pollen and fuel filter are actually quite long. The exact times / distances should be detailed in the service book in the glove box.

Personally I prefer to swap them out earlier than Skoda recommends.

Brake fluid is every two years (no mileage limit), but again I believe this is overkill.

I always ask my Skoda dealer to perform a basic service (oil and oil filter) for £139.

I then add the fuel filter off their menu pricing (roughly £50).

I ask them to reset the service indicator to the long life / variable interval (up to approx. 20,000 miles or 2 years).

The pollen and air filter I buy online and fit myself. Very, very easy to do as a DIY, takes minutes, only a Torx screwdriver required.
