special tool?

Featured Replies

does anyone know what tool is suposed to be used to undo/tighten the strut top nut on the front suspension of a vrs? i had to get my local exhaust place to undo them for me as i couldn`t get `em undone. The guide on briskoda says to use a 7mm allen key but you need to turn the nut too. I got em done up again with a 21mm ring spanner and a hex socket off the car.

Yep there is a socket that has the side cut out of it so you can use a ratchet and allen key.

Ta. I may look into getting one when i help my mate change his octavia elegance suspension for vRS setup.

I'm dreading getting that airfilter back out again - have a feeling the strut is going to be in my way :(

Naughty naughty, shouldnt use air guns on dampers.

You were spot on with the tool Stu btw.
