Definitive answer on the fitting of Seats

Featured Replies

Hi all i have an estate i am in the market for a set of VRS seats, only seem to be able to find hatchbacks breaking if i currently have split folding rear seats with a hinged base that lifts will the hatch interior go in with a bit of fettling?

Cheers

Dan

You would think ...

BUT didn't someone on here say they had tried and failed?

My current estate looks very similar in principle to my previous mk1 hatch.  Obviously that would be dimensionally different, but the mk2 hatch and combi?  Would the seat latches be different?

Ive just took the plunge and bought a hatch interior and it fits perfect, only issue is the airbag wiring is slightly different it seems i need a "patch" wire between the new seats and the loom inside the car as it is not long enough to connect up. im hoping there is such a part and it aint too expensive as ive spent a fortune today already

ahh cheers for that mike i did have a quick look to see if i could trace the wiring back with no joy, i suppose ill have to strip them down tomorrow when i get in from work and have a go at swapping out the airbags, thanks for the advice?

I fitted front and rear VRS state seats on my hatch (both are prefacelift)

In my case, airbag harness are the same.

Main difference appear on rear door car mats. I spripped both door panels and fitted as original part.

Why do t you just leave the airbag wiring and put a resistor onit and clear the fault is that a nono?

Fair point I was just chucking the idea out there
