New Member just saying HELLO

Featured Replies

Recently took delivery of a new Octavia Elegance Estate 2.0 TDI, with a couple of extra's, this replaced my Passat Sport Saloon 130 TDI which I had for 3 years and covered 90K in.

Must say I am rather pleased with my choice, good job, its a company car so I've got it for 4 years.

Came across your forum and website after looking for information on the Witter SK12A tow bar which I have just fitted.

It was a little more involved than the passat but its on now.

I've noted lots of comments about the seats in the new Octavia, it has taken me a long time and a lot of fine adjustments to get the ideal possition, think i'm there now, completely different than the passat.

Has anyone got experience towing caravans with the estate? the review in the press is not to good.

Welcome to Briskoda. I have the 'old' Octavia 4X4 Estate which, I believe, won a Towcar of the Year award a couple of few years ago. :D

I looked at the new 4x4 and was impressed, but its only available with the 1.9 TDI 110BHP engine and I wanted as much torque as poss, so went for the 140TDI in the Elegance Estate. I had to have a diesel Euro IV car (company rule) so the petrol 4x4 was not an option.

welcome to briskoda :wavey:
