Most common MOT fails on MK2 TFSi vRS?

Featured Replies

My Octy goes in for its MOT next week, it will be the first MOT under my ownership.  Passed the previous test without any advisories on the certificate so I was wondering what does the MK2 Octy vRS  fail the MOT on most often ?  I've changed the wiper blades and I'll fill the reservoir the day before and give it a good clean.  I know the tyres are good and all the lights work like they're supposed to and the exhaust is not blowing.  I'm trying to think of other stuff I (as a non mechanically minded or skilled person) can check.

Like any car it could fail on anything, not skoda specific.

Brakes, would probably be the most popular.

Never had an issue even at 7yr. Though a good 'Italian Tune up' and a tank of 99RON the week before won't hurt.

I used to get "slight pitting to disks" all the time, pretty much ment nothing, just a punt for business I think.

Accord in next week, we'll see how it compares.

Good news, the Octy flew through the MOT.  Passed with no advisories, what a relief ! :D
