Hi newbie here

Seen this problem posted previously and hoping by now there may be a common solution

All of a sudden last night after driving home from work and going out again half an hour later, car developed a loud diesel clack and loss of power. Guy at work put a code reader on and he said there were 4 which were all air related, the main thing being a flap problem in the inlet manifold.

Just wondering if anyone had seen this specific problem before

Other thing was the sensor on the injector ( knock sensor ? sorry im no mechanic)

If this is disconnected at the plug end it makes no difference to how the engine sounds

and by all accounts it should but again I'm not sure.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

I think I have sorted this now

A fuse had blown in the fuse box and it was a 10a one which I replaced with another 10a,

only for it to blow again

I replaced this with a 20a fuse and the car it now fine again.

It must have been the Ecu fuse which must need a biggish fuse in it I would imagine

It's your car but I strongly suggest you check what size that fuse should be and if it's not at least 20A, consult an auto electrician.

I checked that ken in manual and I think it should be a 10a so it might need a visit to the garage
