Installing VAG electrochromic mirror in Fabia

Hi guys !

 

I am considering fitting a VAG electrochromic rear mirror in my Fabia and I was wondering if anybody has already done that ?

 

From what I have searched / understand, a VAG mirror from a car without rain/light sensors would work (ON/OFF button + light sensor on the mirror). The only need would be to supply the mirror with 12V after-ignition.

 

Am I correct ? Do you know if the electrochromic mirror would directly fit the original socket ?
