Hi everyone,

 

I have a problem with my mk1 vrs so please can somebody shed some light.

 

Whilst driving the engine will suddenly cut power and will nothing I can do about it apart from stop and restart the engine which seems to work. My thinking is it could just be a sensor somewhere but I am worried that as the car has done 145k miles it could be something more serious e.g turbo.

 

The car is still on the original turbo and has been stage 1 for about the last 30k.

 

Any help or advice greatly appreciated.

get a diagnostic download done to see if any fault codes have been logged

Should be able to more mileage than that. When it cuts out and the rev counter goes straight to 0?
