Out of warranty next month, REMAP time

Featured Replies

Warranty expires on 7th March 2015 or in 2000 miles - currently on 58k

Now the time has come to pass on my DTUK box (CRDT) and get done properly

I have seen this company locally http://www.jfautomotive.co.uk/

Any feedback much appreciated.

I know Shark comes highly recommended, but think £500 is a bit too steep

Keeping my fingers crossed for first MOT!

Cheers

My warranty expires next month too, looking a remaps as well...........  Wouldn't say Shark is "steep"as you only get what you pay for, most reputable companies that i looked at charge about the same.

My warranty expires October. With Freedom discount I'll most likely go Shark.

If I can get the cash may remap before the Rockingham meet.

Be interesting what you go for and your experience.

With no other mods you should be looking at 200-205 on a reputable dyno

Someone has apparently got 212, which seems optimistic just for a map, but he seems convinced it's genuine

Don't get hung up on top line figures though, it's driveability and stress on the car which is more relevant

Cheers chaps, definitely want a map which stresses the least!

The reviews on the JFauto website give a positive indication and there are a few mk2 VRS owners on there too.

My car is booked in with dealer on 5th March for some little niggles that may be warranty repaired, so I 'lol be aiming to have remap done soon after.

How much is shark with freedom?

Thanks

10% discount so about £50 off the £500 asking price.

Still not 'cheap'. Good things never are ;)
