Hello,

I've had my Yeti for about six weeks and 1000 miles so I thought I would share my thoughts. As my previous partner was a fleet manager I have had the lucky position of driving many many cars so I have lots of points of reference.

The Yeti is a very good car. It is good to drive: compliant around town, easy to control with good feedback. It isn't a hatchback and on a B road blast that shows and nor is it as good on the motorway as a Mondeo, for example. But the Yeti covers all these aspects enjoyably enough.

The steering wheel is excellent, the gear changing pleasing and the engine (surprisingly) responsive (I have a Greenline). The cabin is well laid out and the maxi dot computer is very simple and effective to use. The touchscreen radio is good, though the display is less appealing. I wish the SE had DAB as standard. The seats are very comfortable. The boot is awash with clever ideas and gadgets that help - but none of these hide the fact the actual floorspace in the boot is limited. The wipers are less effective than I'd like for a brand new car but I am being picky.

Bluetooth connectivity allows the children to enjoy whatever awful garbage they have filled my phone up with using Spotify and the speakers are of a good quality.

It is a good looking car, I always am glad to return to it and I am enjoying it - it has a quirky personality, which I like.

It has been, to date, issue free, which I hope will continue. No rattles or worries - yet anyway...

Would I recommend a Yeti to others? Yes! Given its price point I think it makes a very good choice indeed.

I hope the next 98 weeks of motoring go as well :0)

Hi Yetijames, thank you for posting this review, which will be appreciated by many new Yeti to be owners.

Nice review and it seems to support my own belief that whilst other cars play a particular role better... As an all rounder its very hard to beat indeed.

The problem then is with any warranty issues, I think the ecu logs any changes, so couldn't be returned to original spec easily, like just before you get loaded onto the relay wagon, on the return to the dealer... after say a break down...

Company called Sheffield re-map at Attercliffe.Cost £250 but well worth the extra 35 bhp.Not sure about what the torque figures are but what a huge difference.Not sure about warranty issues as mine expire in two weeks time.
