Anyone know what size bolt I need for the front brakes and what pitch please?

 

I'm fitting new brake lines and the one supplied with the kit (bought the 'vrs' kit) doesn't fit either the standard 288mm calipers (Lucas) or the upgraded 312s (ATE) calipers. It looks like the thread is too fine on the ones supplied.

 

Before I moan to HEL I'd like to know which I need

Is it the right kit to start off with?

Not the kit for the new shape Vrs or anything?

The rest fits which makes me believe the kit is right (though I'm guessing the Mk2 vRS is pretty much the same anyway? Rear beam etc). Interwebs suggest that VAG use the same size bolt across the board whether its Lucas, ATE or Bosch calipers and the bolts I have fit neither Lucas nor ATE (could try Bosch as I believe the ones from the 1.4 MPI are Bosch, but they are outside in the trees and its wet...), which suggests that the bolts are for a different make of car entirely.

hmmmmmm HEL say no more, 3 weeks for a turbo oil line they had in stock :-( then was wrong

Well my guy has spoken to HEL who are sending out the correct M10 1.5 pitch bolt kit apparently.
