Got a nice chunk taken out of my index finger knuckle. I reckon its looking gangrenous BTW - Having not got involved much in my own FMIC install, I greatly enjoyed helping you out with yours.

Oh, and the highlight of the day was Mike, the cupra TDI owner, asking me if I was actually a mechanic? MOI?!

I was a bit worried when I got home - there was a burning smell as soon as I got out of the car and had a horrible thought that you may have left something in the engine bay that's melted against a belt or other :P

I still need to sort out the cardboard box with the bits of Jasoned-plastic

But I do wonder how others fitted it - I thought the "updated" version didn't require any bumper cutting whatsoever :confused:

What was the burning smell? Any repeat? I don't think I left anything that could get wedged in your cambelt.
