A good mid range price wise is Delphi - I have had new discs and pads all round from Delphi fitted last year and they have been very good both in performance and low brake dust. Would have again no problem

Reading this thread makes me realise that newer doesn't always mean better, I have a MY20 SE L Hatchback which was the first of the facelift models to hit the UK ( 69 REG) . So the car has Amundsen 2.5MIB fitted with nav and music SD card slots. I have all my music in MP3 format on the SD card by artist, album and track which list plays faultlessly through the Media and digital cockpit screen - and when required again plays from the last play. For me as a luddite where technology is concerned this system I have is perfect and has helped me in my decision to keep with this car instead of updating with a newer model. Just saying like 😁

Hi @StariBluzer Sorry to confuse you - just realised that you may be based outside the UK and I have mentioned my reading incorrectly in meters. My readings are in yards and always have been so I am still zooming down to 30 yards, or 27.4 meters.

I have a 2019 SE L with Amundsen Nav and as far as I can remember 30 meters is the biggest zoom in it has ever achieved. Even with a Ebay bought official Skoda 2024 SD card all POIs are shown and a fair number of street names shown. Hope the above is of use

For the last 4 years I have been driving a SE L Hatchback 2.0TSI 190 on 19 inch wheels. The engine is very good, quiet, responsive and trouble free and IMO is very well suited to the car. Unfortunately economy is not its strong point - as others have stated if you are motorway driving at legal speeds you will see 45+ mpg however the moment you hit town driving you are down to low 30s mpg in summer and you will see 24mpg on short winter runs in town. I am retired so most of my driving is rural /town with say 25% motorway now and my total mpg is 32,6 Having said the above I would not go back to diesel because of the quality of the drive with 2.0 petrol Hope the above helps

Hi @Albourneboy I am also long in the tooth and have considered changing from the Superb to the Kodiaq for reasons like better entry etc. However I also suffer from arthritis in my ankle which makes the pedal positions in some of the Korean SUVs Ive tried more upright and more difficult for me to use after a short time. Have you found the pedal positions and angles similar on the Kodiaq to the Superb?

As JR RS I used fuse 47 for my dash cam install . That was about 3 years ago and have had no problems since

I had exactly the same problem about 2 years ago. The dealer changed a "switch" in the steering column ( could that be the clock spring?) said it was loose. Since then no problem. Hope this helps

I have the EA888 Gen 3b 2.0TSI on a 69 plate hatchback. I find the engine really good. responds well, quiet and shows no sign of being underpowered pulling around the Superb. I have only covered 35,000 miles but still found the engine trouble free.

Hi D402 Are the worn discs and pads in your photo Delphi parts as in the box displayed(?) or are you changing them for new Delphi discs and pads? The reason I ask is I am due to renew the OEM discs and pads and have been offered Delphi as one of the better brands for the job, would be interested in your thoughts

I find them good and stable even in heavy rain /puddles . My car is a SEL Hatch 190 TSI FWD and I would never go back to summer tyres all year round because the CC2s winter driving advantage far far outweighs any summer driving "disadvantages" that may exist which I personally have never experienced Hope this helps
