Drivers electric window motor connector pinout readings to sort problem

Featured Replies

Slowly trying to sort this out and thought I'd swop the unit from my car only to find my one has a single connector on the top whilst the one causing problems has 2 plugs underneath. Nothing works but if I open the door and disconnect then reconnect the larger plug the windows work fine but when I close the door and try again nothing. But if I disconnect and reconnect the larger plug all works. Really driving me nuts. I am starting to think there could be a timer somewhere which works in a strange way. Does anyone know what readings from what wires I should get from the electric motor connectors either ignition on or off. Car is a 57 Fabia 2 TDi. Interior light works fine as does the door open indicator.
