no show for service interval display

Featured Replies

My 2011 1.6 d may be due a service soon , don't have maxidot and cant find a way of showing time/mileage  to service. I've tried ignition on and pressing button 5 as per hand book but all it does is reset trip mileage

 any suggestions ?

I think it's open the drivers door turn the reset knob to the right until you get the spanner with miles to service display. can't remember whether you need the ignition on or not.

Turn button 5 left or right to select mode, ie service display or reset time.

Aha , found it , Open drivers door get in put key in and turn on, press button 5 turn (with difficulty ) to the left and  there it is.

According to the handbook it should it come when turning on ignition but doesn't.

 thanks for the hints

Don't recall having to press the button. I think the button press is only there for resetting the trip mileage. Turning the knob is also used for setting the time.

It does come on with the ignition when alerting you to an impending service. I think the countdown starts from 1000 miles to service or 30? days.

Not sure now if I did press the button , will try it again in the morn.
