Yeah I fitted Hids matter of month ago and coded it. Bought them from London colour

2010 model

  • Author

Yeah 2010 Vrs. What I need to know also is where is the CCM located

  • Author

Thanks very much for replying Mike. Any idea what could have caused it? my new HID kit by any chance?

Non canbus 35w 6000k hid kit from london colour, and yeah. Byte 14 bit 4 through VCDS

There have been too many CCM failures on cars with HID kits fitted. Too many to be a coincidence in my opinion.

Seems, correct me mikeholroyd or Silvet1011, that 2010 do like canbus hids more than non canbus ones. I did have canbus for many months. Concluded that MY10 and MY11 models prefer canbus system.

MY10 until May 2010, MY11 from June 2010 until MY12 changes, guess may 2011

I've been sourcing around a replacement BCM and can only find these

Now from searching on http://www.cars-equipment.com/www/en/shop/bcm-ecu/oem-bcm-1k0937087ae-control-module-for/#product_8290 all the listed BCM with 1K0937087 part numbers state they work with DRL, LED etc and are highline modules. If I were to buy one, fit it and copy paste the software coding from the saved log on VCDS, that should set the module up correctly to work on my car?

Gave Skoda a call this morning to find out how much this huge mistake will cost to rectify...........£420 supply and fit and program

Out of interest, what is your existing BCM part# and revision letter? It would be good to get an idea if there are incompatibilities with xenon and certain BCM.

The current BBM is 1k09 308 and from what I'm lead to believe it has been superseded by P

I know people that have had xenons in installed and coded on pre fl models correctly but have still experienced wiper motors blowing /:

I think you may be missing some characters - or are we just looking in different places? VCDS log of central electrics shows mine as part 1K0 937 087 D

Just ordered a replacement BCM 1K0 937 087 AE  which has been confirmed by their supplier to work on my car by a VW specialist in Edinburgh called AutoHaus and they'll programme it for me for £45 on March 5th, so I'll update you all on how it goes.
