Stage 2 Shark Map question on TDI

My Octy VRS tdi is mapped by shark with DPF delete at stage 1. It was done 5 years ago by previous owner to the one I bought it off.

Anyway there's an egr fault I have a delete but it's £100 for map to be swapped to delete software and also I beleieve there's an updated map to remove the pd170 stutter it seems to suffer from.

I will eventually be getting the stage 2 map but do I really need an exhaust for this?

An exhaust is about the £425 mark which im saving for but of course I want the stutter / EGR fault sorting but don't want to have to pay £100 twice for shark map updates! I'd rather get all the map updates done at the same time.
