I tried to order the car to be delivered as close to march 15 as possible. Unfortunately it was bumped up to build week 50-2014, hence delivery in jan. If it arrived in nov etc i would of had it but for the sake of an extra few weeks i thought i miight as well wait. It was ordered september plus i had a loan vehicle from family so no biggy. The octavia is like a bottle of heinz........ The best things come to those who wait ;-)

Fair enough. You've got stronger willpower than me. I would have collected it, particularly since the heated front screen has been brilliant these last few weeks. I ordered 4 Nov and it was ready for 16 Jan. so the initial long waits seem to have gone....unless mine was a cancelled order. Doubtful given the colour and type and number if extras I ordered.

It hasn't been easy, i agree and yes i have the heated front screen along with lots of other desirables inc columbus/canton, leather and folding mirrors etc. nearly there now, luckily :-)

I wouldn't worry about it, once it has a bit of carbon soot, you won't notice it.
