Greetings from happy yellow octy owner

Featured Replies

hello there,

I have had my yellow VRS octy for about a 2 months and I reckon it was the best purchase I have ever made. I have had a skoda beforeso I knew I could expect, but VRS version blew me away. It was only only when I took my beloved (at that time) skoda octavia SLX TDI (110BHP), for a service down my local dealer when I spotted "that" yellow thing looking at me from the forecourt. I took it immediatelly for a test drive and in love for a fist sight. I was pleasently surprised with the speed ( I did about 149.5mph down on M3 motorway), acceleration, handling, colour which made haedturning and pure built quality typical for all cars under VAG group logo.

Well, the rest you can guess. I went on the internet to get a quote and was thrilled when I found out that the quote was only about 35 pounds more than I was paying for my TDI anually! Then I had to talk to my favourite bank manageress, who is always keen and happy to see me, as make her laugh everytime I see her . . . . that went ok and I had been approved a loan again.

So I rushed back to the dealers and paid for it. The guys kindly made a full service for me, filled it up with a quater of the tank (which lasted about 2 days!) and paid for 6 month tax. What a deal I think.

Now I need only 5 more years to pay my loan, but I am pretty sure car like this would last that long! I

Hello everybody,

sorry for taking my time in replying but doing the job I like, involves doing night and day shifts, and to be honest with you and christmas just behind the corner it doesn't leave me much time for my interests. Hopefully it'll change once again after christmas. By the way I work at Heathrow for one of the major transatlantic airlines.

Thank you all for warm welcome I recently received from Briskoda.net and I can assure lot taht I'll do my best to keep my driving licence as long as I have my beloved octy.

I answer all quetions and messeges of surprise by saying, that I really do not know how I manage to achive the speed on the motorway I told about, but I did anyway. I know for the fact the top speed for VRS version is set for 142.5mph. That is what manual says, on that particural occasion I reached 149.5. When I took it for a test drive all I wanted to know was fast it is and how it handles. M3 motorway is famous for having no cameras at all just occasion coppers sitting behind a bush. So I took a gamble, floored it and little red needle pointed just bellow the 150mph mark. I am not saying porkies, M3 is dead straight with no hills. How I achieved don't know myself - you have to trust me on this. I reckon it is like with 0-60 time, they say it does it in 7.9 sec, but in reallity it is about 6.5-6.9sec. I think it has got to do with insurance purposes. On the end it is up to you whether tou believe me or you do not. Thanks your time anyway.
