IPA `wipe-down...............

Featured Replies

................between polishing (AF tough Prep) and sealing (AF Tough Coat).

I have never done this before, so can I please ask:

1. Is it good to do?

2. Do I spray onto the car and wipe, or spray onto the cloth and wipe?

3. Do I let it `air-dry`?

Many thanks.

Mike.

IPA at correct dilution should be sprayed on the panel & wiped off straight away.

I'm not familiar with the polish you are using, but if it has fillers in it then the fillers will be removed by the IPA

Having just googled Tough Prep then I'd not IPA wipedown as it is a good base for Tough Coat

No need to do it. Tough Prep is designed to work with tough coat and does not need a wipe down in between. Won't do it any harm but there is no need.

I'm guessing IPA has different meanings, I was wondering what the right dilution was going to be...

If I knew detailing involved this I'd do more of it :)

Perhaps we should have a thread specifically for abbreviations Colin

I know a Car forum where if you hovered over an abbreviation, it showed what it meant....Does your software allow that?

As far as I know, it's obligatory once finished.
