Tracking

Featured Replies

How much do you guys think per tracking adjustment is acceptable. I have rang a local place and they charge £15 for each adjustment. Does that seem like good value?

Normally about £60 here,

Depends if they ar doing 2 or 4 wheel alignment but here, basic track adjustment is £19, but 4 wheel alignment is £65.

When you say "each adjustment" are you sure they did not mean each alignment adjustment?, as some cars are adjustable for camber and caster so adjustment would be on an as required basis and charged accordingly.

It's 4 wheel alignment. I'm not sure that's what they told me. I'll pop it down for a better quote

£19 seems too cheap for a 4-wheel alignment.

More generally, I'd take "one alignment" to mean "measuring all suspension settings and adjusting as per maker's specs" rather than "only adjusting one setting or one corner".

Garages down here hang all four cameras for £19, but don't do anything but set the front steering toe adjustment. you don't even get a 4 wheel printout. The 4 wheel adjust down here is any easily adjustable setting - rear toe or camber on front suspension is in price. If it has to be shimmed, you pay extra.

25 for 2 wheel. 40 for 4 on hunters

Had mine done at a dealer for £60 to £75 - definitely one of those. Was expensive, But if you are like and are starting to learn to drive it is essential! :D  :p
