Got £50 to spend, what do I buy?

Featured Replies

Thanks Chris, looking around it seems the megs ultimate compound has decent reviews, so unless anyone can recommend something better I'll prob head towards that...pity the bottle isn't a little bigger though...lol

Ooh tough one. I'd be looking at offers on Facebook for group buys. You can never have too many quality cloths.

  • 5 mini valets with the Albanians, inside and out for £10, they do a cracking job.

  • Wow. Tough question. Is there anything you haven't got? My product of the moment that I'm going to is Autosmart Topaz. £25 for 5L

Its OK

But Gold Class is far better

That's exactly what I have got.

Can't say that I am that impressed (but may be overdiluting it) as it doesn't give as many bubbles as I expected.

I also have very little else to compare to it with.

All can say, is that Ive been using it for years ,as it does a great job and superb VFM

I really have no reason to use anything else

Perhaps, as you suggest, low dilution may be a cause

Yes..It does ..but not used it

You wont need a lot..so the bottle should last you

sounds good, I shall head there over the weekend...then hide the purchases from the other half...

Just been to Halfords and can also confirm the offer.

It's 3 for 2 on all cleaning products, so a Halfords wash mit, autoglym tar remover and gold wash can all be bought and one will be free, better than the usual 3 for 2 on selected items!

Ok so I went to halfords but no mitts, will go to another on my way to work.

I did see they have g3 paint renovator and scratch removers, both said they are diminishing.

So which do people recon, one of these two or the Megs ultimate compound?

I like the G3.

Guessing the renovatior is less harsh than the remover?

It is yes

If using it with the DA I only use the renovator as they are meant to be for hand polishing

Ah I was thinking of getting that one as didn't want anything too harsh. I wanted a diminishing polish as well so I'll prob get that one as I'll be using a rotary.

Yep. That's the one

Cheers Chris, as always your response is very much appreciated!

Thanks Chris, I have only just seen the one I linked to in Halfords the other day and was wondering if it was some sort of new improved produce. I have 2 bottles of gold.

Just so you know people the 3for2 is now showing online so you can reserve things before getting there and finding they have sold out.
