sky + box set help

Featured Replies

Just sorting out the fatherin laws sky tv. Just connected it to internet via wifi. Seams to be workin but when trying to put on a box set it just comes up with a red circle with R in it. And says scheduled? It worked once with a program from i player and it came up as available but the others wont work. Ant ideas?

does he have slow internet connection ??

have you tried running an ethernet cable to the router?hub and see if the download starts

Scheduled should only appear if something is already downloading. And a programme is waiting to download.

So if for instance, if you had 10 things selected for downloading, 1 would say downloading and the other 9 would be marked as scheduled.

If you're not downloading anything else, a trusty reboot might be in order.

also i think within the first year you need to have the phone line pugged in

Ah right cheers mate. No the phone line wasnt plugged in. Why would this matter?

Dont need the phone line plugged into box. Only router. If it says scheduled it means something will be recording. Maybe just the settings or something? Mine does the same though. Can only download or record one thing at a time.

Scheduled means you're already recording something, or your Internet is slow or dropped out.

To download, you can't also be recording at the same time. So it queues it up for when recording is finished.

I would try an ethernet cable first that may help if he has a poor internet connection.

As above the boxes down load best when hard wired. When I had mine installed we tried wifi and wired on the same program and wifi was shockingly slow
