Anyone had this message on Maxidot after configuring Adaptive headlights (AFS) with VCDS.  I followed the 'Octavia III VCDS Adapations' page19 courtesy of xpower to find that each time I push the light stalk forward I get the message 'Fault: Light Assist'.  What have I not done?

undo all of your changes and do it again.

 

Make sure your headlights are turned to off.
