Vacuum & Weird Buzzing Noises Help?

Featured Replies

Hello first things first i blanked off my egr valve and had it mapped out and was told to remove the vacuum pipe going into the egr valve to prevent the eml coming on, so i put a bolt in the vacuum line and now the black vacuum box buzzes loudly and when i switch the car off it now no longer hums for about 10 seconds then goes away. Is this normal? I can hear the black box vibrating inside the car and it goes away when revved. The vacuum pipe definetly isnt leaking it has a very long bolt in it. Thanks.

The buzzing is the anti shudder valve, check that's still connected.

Thats still plugged in and all good only started doing it since i blocked off vacuum pipe to egr valve to prevent eml coming back on again

I still get the buzzing and I've fitted a EGR delete pipe and block the vac pipe. Not sure, no doubt someone will be along soon with an answer

Mine also does this from time to time (ASZ) but it did if even before I blanked my egr off so I don't think it is related. I haven't had any problems caused by it though so I just forgot about it lol

I'm interested to see what's causing it though
