vRS - 1, Pheasant - 0

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Let the wife Borrow the vRS. She returned only to tell me she had hit a pheasant but was sure there was no damage to the car.

Assuming she was probably glossing over things somewhat, I had a quick look, it appears the impact was sufficient to crack the lower honeycomb grille section. :(

Does anyone know how it's attached? Is it easy enough to replace myself?

It appears to be attached by clips:

Hows the pheasant?

Properly tenderized I suspect.

It's a miracle I have yet to run over one, considering how much of them run around in my area. They've given me more than a few brake checks over the years though.

Don't let your wife use the VRS, simples!

I suppose I had better check the price of it first, bet it isn't cheap. :(

I hit one last year all I saw was a cloud of feathers in my rear view mirror but no damage. I think it was a suicide!

Anyone come up with a main grille replacement yet? Pheasants often appear at above ground altitudes.....

Ill avoid the 'cheap' and 'bird' joke. Best place round there for pheasants was up from West Dean over to Chilgrove.....
