Hi All,

 

My 06 Octy has developed quite a nasty electrical fault. The local garage said it was the Main Function unit which costs £280+vat, the problem arose when my headlights stopped working and the brake lights also stayed on or wouldn't come on.

The car is still under the 3 month warranty from the seller but they are expecting me to deliver the car to them. Considering its over 100 miles away without headlight & brake lights. What are my options?

I would see if they would allow you to get a quote from a garage near you and then send them payment electronically.

The Plod would take a dim view of you attempting to drive without the lights.

Failing that they either send down a mechanic or collect at their cost. 

A relative a similar situation, it was resolved by using a local garage and payment as above.
