Has any body on here used this product gtechniq_i1-both.jpg

I have indeed. what would you like to know?

Yep used it.

Coated all my alcantara sections in the Superb with it. Pongs a bit when first applied but once dried, the smell does disappear after a few days.

Excellent product and works very well. It is designed to prevent liquid from soaking in, but to be fair it stops dirt penetrating into the fabric. Mud etc can just be brushed off.

I've used it on kids shoes and all sorts.

Thats what im after something to coat the seats with, im not a fan of seat covers.Seen clip on Utube bet ChrisRs would be interested for his soft top roof.

Ive now used 303 protector on mine

But this stuff does get great reviews

Id forgotten that I had an unopened bottle of 303, I bought for an MX-5 I was detailing..The owner had it protected already, so I never used it

Is that a 1.8 or 2.0 does look nice was you looking long till you found that one, or was it in the skoda dealers.

What do you mean by "couldn't get I1 to work" ?? Having done what you did I can't see anything wrong, although I wouldn't necessary use on mats.

The promotional videos are mostly of the product being used on mats... I couldn't get any water repellency at all, water was being absorbed just as quick if not quicker than before. Maybe the pile on the mats is too deep and it's only suitable for more flat cloth surfaces?

1.8 SE

I fell upon quite by chance

Very happy with it

Perhaps it was the pile, I've not tried it on mats to be honest, only on flat material (seats).
