H&R RARB Mikalor Clamp Size Help

Featured Replies

Had a RARB fitted for about a year now and I recently found one of the clamps which holds the bar to the axle broken.

Thank you to Bogwoppit, I know I need mikalor clamps but not sure of the size I think 91-97mm would be fine can come one confirm or give the right size please.

If anyone could help would be really grateful.

Thanks

Richard

They are mikalor hose clamps (or a similar brand), the size will be stamped on them e.g. 92-97. There is a high res photo on this link: http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/256426-rear-anti-roll-bars/, post #16

Have a look on the 1 clamp you have left to check the size. Personally I don't think 2 jubilee clips joined together will be strong enough to hold the anti roll bar to the beam properly.

Can anyone help me with a figure ?

Watching clamps on eBay which are 91-97 but don't want to order unless they are right.

Thanks

Richard

The ones that came with my jabbasport rarb for a mk1 Fabia (so same rear beam as a mk2 fabia?) are the mikalor non-stainless steel ones. The are 24mm wide and the size is 92-97mm.

The stainless mikalor ones are 1mm wider so 25mm wide. If you are looking at the stainless steel ones, check the will fit the bush holder OK.

They are 92-97 I've checked today and mines a h&r one

Thank you both il get some ordered today.

T bolt clamps would work better rather than the mikalor, very similar design but T bolts have a better design for wrapping round the axel

Ordered these yesterday as the last ones I had broke at the welds and these don't seem to be welded more of a mechanical bond.
