thermostat casing

Featured Replies

Going to replace the thermostat on my car. Is it worth replacing the plastic casing/pipe that it sits in? If so anyone used the ones on ecp?

Probably not essential but I replaced it with a genuine part as it wasn't much more than a non-genuine one (unlike the thermostat itself!). You should also replace the gasket. These are the part numbers and prices of those two I was given from a dealer:

Thermostat gasket  038121119B £3.38
Thermostat housing  06A121121C £6.18

Top info mate. Thanks for that. I'll get the genuine stuff.
