rear camber arms and air filter

Featured Replies

hi all

i have lowered my 4x4 40mm at the front and 30mm at the rear and have read conflicting posts about the need for adjustable camber arms...do i need these if only dropping 30mm?if so is there a cheaper alternative to the £200 jobbies on fleabay?

secondly what is the best make of cone filter to fit? i had fitted a foam type filter but found that it gave no induction noise and i could hear the dv ****shing all the time. would a k&n type filter be denser than a foam one and stop some of the ****shing?

thanks

ps im not a boy racer i just want a little bit of induction noise cos i like it.

You' need the shorter tie bars if only dropping 10mm

The cheapest option is to find some R32 tie bars which are designed for lower car to start with, and are slotted to allow camber adjustment

The Forge ones are proven and stronger than anyone elses

please forgive my ignorance on this subject but i am a newbie to 4x4 ownership, so am i right in thinking that i can fit the standard r32 rear tie bars as a straight swap? and i will be able to adjust the rear camber?

My mate had a brand new set of forge adjustable bars

Dunno if he still got them lurking

Fmautb2 rings a bell lol

forge is good quality i know but i just cant afford it,,seems silly that you can get lowering springs for 150 odd quid than you gotta spend 300 odd quid  on tie bars to use them.still appreciate the reply.

No worries bud

Just pop a message if needed

Iirc they were 220 delivered
