Skoda Fabia Mk2 Side Light Replacement

Featured Replies

Hi folks, first time posting here, hope I have found the correct place. Trying to replace the driver side light bulb on my 08 plate fabia that I bought earlier this year. I have accessed it by removing the fuel filter holder but I am having great difficulty just trying to remove the bulb. Have managed to get a set of long nosed pliers on it but want to know if I just pull the bulb housing out or need to turn it a certain way. Access is really difficult...hoping I don't need to remove the bumper and headlight just to change a £1 bulb.

Thanks

Sidelights are just a straight, firm pull out. No rotation or owt like the indicators.

Next time you may find it easier to put your steering on full lock, undo a few torx screws in the wheel arch liner and access the rear of the light unit 'from below'.

Thanks for that, will try going through the wheel arch as you mentioned instead...I will at least be facing the right direction. I had tried to obtain a Haynes manual in the shops but since I only found manuals for the Mk1, I resorted to Google where I took advice from the online workshop manuals here

I forgot to mention that it was a diesel :notme:
