LV no longer covering Re-maps

Featured Replies

Just an FYI but it seems like LV will no longer cover for ECU Remaps.

Renewal came through recently for my Octavia VRS and thought i'd get a cost for applying a Bluefin ECU remap and they have said their underwriters will no longer cover that sort of change.

Called again today to double check and got the same answer...

Must be fairly recent as they did give me a cost last year for my old VRS for adding a REVO

Hi, we have LV on our insurer panel so if you're having difficulty please give us a call. We met with them just this morning for a review and they're asking us for more modified business. Maybe they'll only do it through club brokers now but unlikely.

Now covered through Chris Knott who were very helpful, sadly a bit of a jump from my renewal from LV but you cant have everything.

Thanks for getting a quote :)

LV were one of the cheaper quotes I got last year when looking into a Stage 1 remap - it'll be a shame if they are no longer there to offer a competitive quote.

Things change, they; LV, used to do a any mod policy at no extra :) Happy days, only lasted a bit though, very popular with scoobie owners...things change.

Maybe members don't realise but we aim to undercut any other provider's quote. Sometimes we can't because we believe the rate is too cheap for the risk level or there's a postcode problem or something like that but if members call us we sign up a big chunk of the quotes given (see- http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/340585-calling-all-briskoda-members/)
