Spotted my first MkIII on the road

Featured Replies

As per the title, spotted my first Fabia III on the road going the other way. At first glance I thought it was a Spaceback until I noticed the 'anti collision box' in the lower grill and lack of fogs.

Apologies to the owner but the dark metallic grey did nothing to help it not blend in with everything else on the road and confirmed my first impression of the car being an improvement over the Mk II but rather run of the mill otherwise.

OK the Fabia II is a little ungainly to look at but on the road in Monte or vRS configuration particularly, they at least stand out a bit, no matter what their colour.

Does a car have to stand out? If it was Corrida Red with a black glass roof and black alloys, would it stand out or blend in amongst all the red DS3s with black roofs and the like?

Lack of fogs suggests an S spec model.  Can't understand why fog lights aren't legal and why someone wouldn't want them.. very odd in the 21st Century.

spotted my first one today Corrida Red with a black glass roof and black alloys coming towards me as it passed noticed it was a fabia (DENTON Manchester)

After owning a yellow and black car i kind of like being a little less obvious, I prefer the styling of the mk3 now :)
