Amundsen are on SD but 'Clever?' SatNav fails to import

Featured Replies

This is beginning to Pee me off to say the least.

I have, using the Skoda Destinations website downloaded a number of destinations onto an SD Card formatted (Today)  to FAT32 and into a folder named 'Destinations', there is nothing else on the card, no other folders or files, only the one folder as noted.

Putting in Slot 1 of the unit and following the manual I have not been able to import as the photos below show:

Then when I select import:

As you can see (Ignore the dusty screen!) the destinations can be seen, albeit greyed out. I am at a loss to know where I may have gone wrong. Any pointers?

Yes, use the VW website. I couldn't get POI collections to work on the Skoda page, but following exactly the same steps on the VW website worked. Looking at the file structures, the Skoda generated ones were a lot smaller file size from the same source data.

If you have an Amundsen is your map SD card write protected?

Just seen you do have an Amundsen, check your map SD card first

You say you have formatted an SD card?.  Is it a genuine Skoda SD card?.

I think you need to use a genuine Skoda SD card. Its been discussed extensively on these forums

Right on oh mighty one

The Skoda card was locked so I unlocked it & stuck it back in slot 2 then my Destinations SD card in slot 1 which seemed to import them automatically, as when I tried Import Destinations I got 0/0 imported. When I touched My Destinations they were all there.

Maybe its a tiny bit more clever than I gave it credit for. :x
