Fix ABS Problem before Selling?

Featured Replies

Hi

In the next month or so I am planning to sell my Skoda Octavia VRS 2.0 FSI 56 Plate. However bad timing for me the ESP and ABS light has come on. I believe this is a common problem. I was wondering whether its worth me getting it fixed then selling or selling for knock down price with the cost of repairs in mind?

Thanks for any advice

If it was mine id fix it before advertising it,you can get a repair kit for the pump nowadays so this fault isnt as big a issue as it used to be. If i was buying it with this fault id want the full price of a abs pump taking off the asking price yet the repair kit costs less but its the unknown repair issue that would put me off buying the car. Its a selling point that its been replaced anyway.
