Fabia 3 vs Seat Leon FR

Featured Replies

Just asking if the new Fabia is bigger in terms of boot etc compared to the Leon.

No.

& the Leon Estate is good value, and some have pretty good rear suspension.

considering they are in two different classes (b and c segment) the difference isn't as big as you'd expect. The Fabia offers 530 litres in the estate, 330 in the hatch - the Leon ST around 590 litres, 380 in the five door hatch. However, to drive, the Leon is the more accomplished of the two (although my drive in the Fabia was limited to just 10 minutes) and prices from the brokers are very good indeed currently. For me, it would be the Leon without doubt.

The Seat Ibiza I owned once killed my back with the lousy seats. (!) Hopefully theyve improved.

Which 'Leon FR' are you looking at or thinking of, ?

there are 3 & 5 Door (SC or Hatch & then Estate)  Diesel or Petrol.

This week i drove the 182 ps Petrol DSG Leon FR Estate, then a 5 Door 2.0 Diesel Auto DSG hatch.

Yesterday it was a 2.0 TDI 150 ps DSG Golf,

between the used Golf GT & the Leon FR there was £5,000 difference in asking price  and really i preferred the cheaper Seat Leon.

Leon FR has more engine options, more kit as standard (other than mirrorlink and KESSY, but that may not bother you), and is available with big discounts and 0% HP. I'd definitely go test driving one if I was considering the Fabia!

Pound for pound it would definetly be the Leon for me plus, as said above, there are some good deals around on the Leon at the minute. An SE Leon also trumps the Fabia SE for spec with not much more money to pay to buy one.

I have been looking at the Leon 1.8tsi fr with the dsg box in hatch form..... seems you get an awful lot of kit and i also like the option of the full seat sound system which has a '' real '' amp and sub, only the Astra has this option and of course that is no where near as good. Thanks for the info.
