gfk dv+ any differents

Featured Replies

Hi looking for info on a dv+ what differents does it make to the performance of the car or does it make any noise differents??!

It's GFB "Go Fast Bits"

I have one on my car.  I wouldn't call it a "performance upgrade" like a remap or a downpipe.  It's more a tuning item that adds to everything else you've done.

After fitment I noticed there was a tiny bit of extra noise but I'd forgotten about it until you mentioned it - I can't even remember when it occurs.  You can stop the noise by leaving a spring out but that reduces the efficiency of the DV+.

On the road, the boost seems to come on a bit quicker (not earlier).  It definitely holds boost better & doesn't seem to die as much between changes.

For the $150ish that it costs it's fair value & the machining / quality is first class.  I bought lightweight pulleys off these guys when I had my Subaru and they are genuine enthusiasts (with a really nice commercial machine shop).  Their main focus is tools, dies & precision pattern making - the GFB part is a hobby that's turned into a viable business.

Installation is pretty easy if you can get under the car - bank on an hour tops including jacking up the car & putting it on stands; reading the instructions half a dozen times & having a beer.

I'd recomend it if you've already done other stuff.  My mods already included Bluefin remap, GolfR intercooler, tube type IC inlet/outlet, removal of cat#1 and a few minor "tuning items".

Is anyone else running one of these? Worth it or would I be better off getting a D fitted to the car?

TIA
