Coolant leak

Featured Replies

Wonder if anyone has had this problem,

Coolant seems to be leaking from the bottom of the radiator on my fabia vrs, I've just changed turbo and thought maybe one of the pipes wasn't put back on properly but it's from the bottom of the rad, does anyone have any ideas on this?

Thanks

Yes, replace the radiator, every VAG group car I've owned has needed a new radiator as soon as it hits ~10 years old, they all corrode at the bottom where water gets trapped between the rad and the front panel.

Could be the seal on the bottom hose into rad needs replacing.

You need to get under car and have a proper look, if it's hose seal you will have white stains around the join from hose into rad.

If there is any dampness/staining higher up on the rad core itself your rads buggered :)
